Hardware mouse FTW!

1. Copy the ffvixgame.exe to your desktop (Vista/7 won't let you edit files in the program files folder).

2. Download a hex editor ( http://mh-nexus.de/en/hxd/ ) and open the ffvixgame.exe with it.

3. In HxD press Ctrl+R and enter:
Search for: 00 57 6A 01 57 6A 16 57 50 8B CE C6 84 24 D0 19 00 00 1D E8
Replace with: 00 6A 01 57 57 6A 16 57 50 8B CE C6 84 24 D0 19 00 00 1D E8
Datatype: Hex-values
and press 'Replace all'.

4.Press Ctrl+R again and use these values:
Search for: 00 6A 01 6A 01 57 6A 17 57 50 8B CE C6 84 24 D0 19 00 00 1E E8
Replace with: 00 57 90 6A 01 57 6A 17 57 50 8B CE C6 84 24 D0 19 00 00 1E E8

5. Save the file and then replace the original ffxivgame.exe with it. Of course make a backup or you won't be able to update in the future.

You're welcome. Just remember to keep a backup of the original .exe for patch days. And then after you patch make a new backup of the .exe and then run the hex-editer to edit the copy.
